THE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

1.THE GREAT LAW – As you sow, so shall you reap. This is also known as the Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us. If what we want is happiness, peace, friendship, love…Then we should BE happy, peaceful, loving, a friend. Negative energy sent out to others will come back to you 10 fold

2.THE LAW OF CREATION – Life doesn’t just HAPPEN, it requires our participation. We are one with the Universe both inside and out. Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state. BE and DO yourself what you want to have in your life.

3.THE LAW OF HUMILITY – What you refuse to accept, will continue for you. If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative, then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.

4.THE LAW OF GROWTH – Wherever you go, there you are. For us to GROW in Spirit it is WE who must change and not the people, places or things around us. The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES, and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our heart, our life changes too.

5.THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY – Whenever there is something wrong, there is something wrong in me. We mirror what surrounds us and what surrounds us mirrors us: we must take responsibility for what is in our life.

6.THE LAW OF CONNECTION – Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is very important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected. Each step leads to the next step and so forth and so on. Someone must do the initial work to get a job done. Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significance-they were both needed to accomplish the task. Past, Present, Future…they are all connected…

7.THE LAW OF FOCUS – You can’t think of two things at the same time. You should climb up a ladder on step at a time. When you lose your focus you let in insecurities and anger.

8.THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY – If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that truth. Here is where we put what we SAY that we have learned into PRACTICE.

9.THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW – Looking back to examine what was prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW. Old thoughts, old patterns of behavior, old dreams…Prevent us from having new ones.

10.THE LAW OF CHANGE – History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path.

11.THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD – All Rewards require initial toil. Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil. True joy follows doing what we’re suppose to be doing, and waiting for the reward to come in it’s own time.

12.THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION – You get back from something whatever you’ve put into it. The value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent that is put into it. Every personal contribution is also a contribution to the Whole. Lack luster contributions have no impact on the Whole or work to diminish it.

21 FACTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE DANGOTE REFINERY

1. Over $4 billion worth of equipment currently sits on the site.

2. The project is slated to cost $14 billion (N5 trillion) of which Dangote is contributing $7 billion in equity.

3. The project site is 8 times larger than Victoria Island. It is located on 2135 hectares of land in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos near the Lekki Free Zone.

4. It is the largest industrial complex in Africa.

5. Work goes on, on the site, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

6. World Record 2.72 million accident free hours recorded on site, without a single lost time to injuries.

7. It is the largest single train grass roots refinery in the world with a processing capacity of 650,000 BPSD.

8. Dangote Group brought in the world’s #1, #2, and #5 sand dredgers to sand fill the site. 60% of the land being swampy.

9. During construction, the project will employ over 25,000 Nigerians and will employ over 300,000 workers upon completion.

10. Dangote is investing over $7 billion (N1.4 trillion) in the project.

11. It is the largest single train refinery project on the planet.

12. When this project comes online, Nigeria will save a minimum of $10 billion a year on imports.

13. The Ammonia component of the plant will produce 2.8 million tonnes of Urea.

14. Dangote is producing its own electricity to power the plant and by so doing is saving 75% costs. Dangote produces electricity at a rate that is significantly cheaper than the Federal Government. Dangote’s cost is $400,000/MW, while Federal Government is $2,000,000/MW.

15. All the civil engineering is done by Nigerian companies.

16. The plant has an export value of $6 billion per annum, meaning Dangote’s efforts will increase the amount of foreign exchange in Nigeria’s foreign reserves by at least 40% of current value on a yearly basis.

17. Dangote said when this project comes on line, his friend Femi Otedola will save at least N26 per litre on millions of litres of diesel and petrol which his companies import annually. This savings will be passed on to the consumers and it will take a lot of pressure off the banks.

18. Billions of Naira were paid to acquire the land and to settle the existing communities. More money was also allocated and spent to relocate the existing communities.

19. This project will restore the dignity of Nigeria, a crude producing country that has for years gone abroad to meet its demand for refined products.

20. Refined products to be produced at the plant include but is not limited to Propane, Petrol, Jet Fuel, Diesel, Kerosene, Carbon Black, Polypropylene, Polyethylene.

21. The United States Trade and Development Agency is supporting this project with $997 million.

Catholicism in Numbers

Fwd.: *VATICAN - Dossier for World Mission Day: the number of Catholics in the world is increasing*

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The number of Catholics in the world is increasing: almost one billion and 300 million, 17.7% of the world's population.

According to figures from the Church’s Book of Statistics (data related to 2015) and elaborated by Agenzia Fides, the baptized are 12 million and a half more than the previous year (2014). This is one of the data in the Dossier published by Agenzia Fides on the occasion of the 91st World Mission Day, which is celebrated on Sunday, October 22, 2017, which offers a panorama of the Church in the world.

According to the Dossier, 1 billion and 100,000 people live in Africa, 19.42% are Catholics (222 million), with an increase of 0.12%. In America, out of 982.2 million inhabitants, 63.6% are Catholics (625 million), with a decrease of 0.08%.

In Asia, out of 4.3 billion people, 3.24% of the population (141 million) are Catholics, an unvaried figure.

In Europe, the population is increasing (716 million), but for the second year in a row, the number of Catholics is 39.87% (285 million), a decrease of 0.21%.

38.7 million people live in Oceania, 26.36% are Catholics (10.2 million), with an increase of 0.24% compared to the previous year.

The Catholic ecclesiastical circumscriptions (dioceses, vicariates, apostolic prefectures etc) in the world are 3,006 (+ 8 compared to 2014): 538 in Africa, 1,091 in America, 538 in Asia, 758 in Europe and 81 in Oceania.

The number of Bishops in the world increases by 67 units (5,304) while the number of priests decreases by 136 units (415,656).

Fides’ Dossier also informs that there are 351,797 lay missionaries in the world while 3,122,653 are catechists.

The Catholic Church runs 216,548 schools in the world, attended by over 60 million pupils. In addition, almost five and a half million young people attend Catholic institutes during high school and university studies. Finally there are about 118 thousand Catholic social and charitable institutes (hospitals, Care Homes for people with Leprosy, orphanages, homes for the Elderly) scattered throughout the world.

In Fides’ Dossier there is also an overall picture of the missionary cooperation activity of the Pontifical Mission Societies (Propagation of the Faith, Saint Peter the Apostle, Missionary Childhood, Missionary Union) which, in their support to local Churches (building of chapels and seminars, education, pastoral and formation activities), granted subsidies which amount to 134 million US dollars in 2016.

In order to illustrate the Dossier, a motion graphics (in Italian and English) is available on Agenzia Fides' Youtube channel that you can freely download and reproduce on other websites. (Agenzia Fides 20/10/2017)

Tomatoes

A teacher asked her students to bring some tomatoes in a plastic bag to school.

๐Ÿ…Each tomato was to be given the name of a person whom that child hates.

๐Ÿ…So, the number of tomatoes would be equal to the number of persons they hate.

๐Ÿ…On a pre-determined day, All the children brought their tomatoes well addressed.

๐Ÿ…Some had two, some had three and some had five, some even had 20 tomatoes in accordance with the number of people they hated. ๐Ÿ…The teacher then told them they had to carry the tomatoes with them everywhere they go for two weeks.

๐Ÿ…As the days passed the children started to complain about the decay and smell of the tomatoes.

๐Ÿ…The students who had many tomatoes complained it was very heavy to carry and the smell was too much.

๐Ÿ…After a week, the teacher asked the students “How did you feel this week?”

๐Ÿ…The children complained of the awful smell and heavy weight of the tomatoes, especially those who carried several tomatoes.

๐Ÿ…The teacher said, “This is very similar to what you carry in your heart when you don’t like some people.

๐Ÿ…Hatred makes the heart unhealthy and you carry that hatred everywhere. ๐Ÿ…If you can’t bear the smell of spoilt tomatoes for a week, imagine the impact of bitterness on your heart as you carry it daily.”

๐Ÿ…The heart is a beautiful garden that needs regular cleaning of unwanted weeds. ๐Ÿ… Forgive those who have angered you.

๐Ÿ…This makes room for storing good things.

๐Ÿ…Get Better, Not Bitter!!!

AIthough you may not usually forward texts but this makes sense. So forward it to someone or group. They might be motivated to let go and cleanse their hearts ๐Ÿ’• !!!!!

Love everyone๐Ÿ˜˜
